Chelsea were able to strengthen the wide positions during the summer transfer window.
Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto both joined Chelsea, with the former already managing to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
In the three games that Sancho has played, he has been able to register three assists. However, before the Blues brought him in, they were linked with other wingers.
One of those wide men was Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi, who has just had a stormer in the Champions League.

Chelsea were interested in Karim Adeyemi
Back in July, it was claimed that Chelsea had an interest in Adeyemi. According to the Daily Mail, Dortmund were willing to sell the 22-year-old for around £35m at the time.
In the end, though, Adeyemi remained at Dortmund, and the club will be delighted that he did.
The German just scored a hat-trick in their incredible 7-1 win against Celtic in the Champions League.
It was a stunning performance by Adeyemi, but even so, Chelsea do not need to have any regrets about not signing him.
Chelsea do not need to have any Karim Adeyemi regrets
Adeyemi was clinical against Celtic on Tuesday night, but his overall goal record shows that the Germany international is not the most prolific attacker.
Last season, for example, he only scored three goals in 21 Bundesliga appearances. With Chelsea’s interest in Adeyemi not materialising into anything, they eventually moved on to Sancho and Neto.
With the way that the former has been performing since joining Enzo Maresca‘s side, the club can forget about Adeyemi, if they have not already.
The Blues are set to pay no more than £25m for the England international as well, which is less than what they would have had to offer Dortmund to sign Adeyemi.
If the former Red Bull Salzburg man kicks on from here and really explodes, then it could become a different story. But for now, Chelsea should not be losing sleep over not bringing Adeyemi to west London.
