Chelsea should sign £25m summer target who idolises Eden Hazard instead of Mathys Tel, he’s the perfect Mykhailo Mudryk replacement

Chelsea have been linked with a number of players as they circle in on making a big January signing.

It has been claimed they are keen on signing a new attacker, with Mathys Tel coming to towards the top of the list.

Chelsea have had him on their list for a number of transfer windows now, with him out of favour at Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga giants are considering raiding the Blues too, with Christopher Nkunku agreeing terms to join Bayern.

However, Chelsea could realistically do with signing a more established option in the attack, particularly with the potential need to replace Mykhailo Mudryk permanently.

Chelsea should sign Ademola Lookman to replace Mykhailo Mudryk

One player who has starred on the left of attack in recent seasons is Ademola Lookman, currently with Atalanta.

Lookman is already on nine goals this season, and has reached double digits in his last two Serie A campaigns.

His big moment came in the Europa League final last season against Bayer Leverkusen. Despite their opponents enjoying an unbeaten campaign up to then, the Nigerian international bagged a hat-trick on the big stage to secure the trophy.

Chelsea were reportedly interested in signing Lookman over the summer, following his resurgence as a top player after an underwhelming past in the Premier League.

It was claimed that they were willing to pay £50m in the summer, however it has been stated since that he could be available for around £25m in January.

Ademola Lookman idolises Eden Hazard

There are few players as talented as Eden Hazard to have ever played for Chelsea, and this is recognised by Lookman himself.

When asked, the winger said the Belgian was the player he wanted to be while he was growing up watching football.

Cole Palmer yesterday became the first player since Hazard to register back-to-back seasons with 20 goal contributions.

However, behind him and Nicolas Jackson, goals in the attack are proving hard to come by in recent weeks, and Lookman could provide the perfect goalscoring option to accompany their top scorers this season.
