Chelsea have been linked with a sensational move to raid one of their elite Premier League rivals of one of their most promising talents.

Reports have claimed that the Blues are interested in signing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United, with them sensing the Red Devils will need to sell in order to sign players for new manager Ruben Amorim.

Chelsea have been handed a boost by the fact that Garnacho wants to stay in the Premier League should he move this month, meaning a move to Napoli looks his less preferred destination.

The Blues are without Mykhailo Mudryk right now, with there no indicator of a return for the Ukraine international anytime soon.

This could leave some believing that they are needing to invest in a new option in that role. However, those people would be forgetting about Chelsea’s newest first team promoted star – Tyrique George.

After making sporadic appearances in the Conference League, George was promoted to first team duties permanently alongside Josh Acheampong.

Monday night saw the youngster make his Premier League debut, and it feels like bringing in a new winger would do real harm to his development so soon after signing a new deal with the club.

While the Englishman is yet to find the net for the first team, he has impressed greatly when given the chance on either wing.

Enzo Maresca promised Tyrique George would have important role at Chelsea

Maresca has frequently shared that he has been impressed by the development of George since he took over the role at Stamford Bridge.

In fact, after the FA Cup win over Morecambe, the boss said that he would have an important role to play for the rest of the season.

He said to Football London: “Good. Tyrique is doing well with us. He already played some games in the Conference League. He is the same age as Josh Acheampong, very young, so hopefully we can give them more chances and they can also become an important part of this team.”

However, adding Garnacho to the list of Noni Madueke, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho would see his path to the first team even more obstructed.

There is also the incoming addition of Estevao Willian to add to their ranks, with him expected to be with the first team squad as soon as next season.
