In the 2024 January transfer window, Chelsea were very quiet, failing to make a single signing.

However, in the 2024 summer transfer window, Chelsea made up for it after signing 12 new players.

Eight of those additions went straight into Enzo Maresca‘s first team and are now helping the club to compete at the top of the Premier League table.

So how has each one done at this stage of the season?

Pedro Neto

Neto arrived at Chelsea from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a deal worth more than £50m. The winger has brought versatility to Maresca’s side, playing both on the left and the right this term.

However, Neto has not been able to nail down a spot on either flank because of the form of Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho, while the 24-year-old has only scored one goal in the Premier League so far. By this stage of the campaign, Chelsea fans would have perhaps expected a bit more from him.

Grade: C+

Joao Felix

Joao Felix has not had too many starting opportunities, but that was to be expected given all of Chelsea’s attacking options.

He is in direct competition with Cole Palmer for a place in the team, a player who is undroppable. When Felix has played, he has shown glimpses of his quality, which has pretty much been the story of his career so far.

Grade: C

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

You have to feel kind of sorry for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The 26-year-old is clearly a good midfielder and showed that at Leicester City last season after scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists in the Championship.

Managing him at the Foxes, Maresca saw first-hand what Dewsbury-Hall is capable of, but the Italian has not been able to give him minutes in the Premier League this term. Simply put, he has proven to be a pretty pointless signing.

Grade: F

Filip Jorgensen

Filip Jorgensen is another one who has not played too often this season, with the 22-year-old being the team’s No.2.

However, when Jorgensen has started for Chelsea, he has really impressed. The Denmark U21 international looks more than capable of replacing Robert Sanchez, only cost around £20m and is still very young. All in all, he has proven to be a bargain so far.

Grade: B

Renato Veiga

Renato Veiga has not made an incredible impact at Chelsea since arriving from Basel. However, the Portuguese has done a job at both left-back and in midfield. That versatility makes him a pretty useful player, while he only cost the club £12m. It was a smart piece of business.

Grade: C+

Marc Guiu

Marc Guiu‘s opportunities have only really come in the Conference League, but he has taken practically all of them. The forward finished the league phase with six goals in as many games, which includes a hat-trick against Shamrock Rovers.

Guiu presses so aggressively and is such a unit for his age. He could become the ideal Premier League centre-forward in a few years’ time.

Grade: B

Tosin Adarabioyo

With Maresca settling on a centre-back partnership of Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana, Tosin Adarabioyo has not got too many opportunities in the Premier League this season.

However, in the few appearances that he has managed to make, the former Fulham man has not done too badly. In those games, he brought real height to Chelsea’s backline and at 27, he is one of the more experienced players in the squad. Costing the club nothing, Adarabioyo has been really smart business.

Grade: B-

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho is probably the Chelsea signing who has made the biggest impact. He has made the Blues a real threat down the left-hand side.

The winger can beat full-backs on the inside and the outside and is capable of playing some very dangerous low crosses and passes into the box. He is starting to add goals to his game as well now. Signing him on an initial loan deal, Sancho has been terrific business.
