The future is starting to look really bright for Chelsea and not just because they are performing well in the Premier League right now.
Chelsea are currently second in the table, just two points behind leaders Liverpool. Playing before their rivals on Sunday, they actually have the chance to overtake them for a while.

All things considered, Enzo Maresca has done a really good job at the club. For Joe Cole, Maresca has been manager of the season so far.
After much criticism, though, Todd Boehly and the rest of the Chelsea board also deserve some credit. Assessing both Chelsea and Strasbourg’s squads, things are looking really promising if you are a Blues fan.

Chelsea and Strasbourg have the youngest teams in Europe
While Chelsea are doing extremely well at this moment in time, it is quite clear that their squad was built to achieve future success.
According to WhoScored, Strasbourg and Chelsea come in at first and second respectively for lowest average age of players used in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
Despite the above, Chelsea have still managed to outperform the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in the current campaign and are going toe-to-toe with Liverpool.
You now have to wonder where this Chelsea team will be when the likes of Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez all reach their peak.
BlueCo’s work at Chelsea and Strasbourg has shown that they want to sign young and talented players, and that bodes well for the Blues’ future.
Title win may come too soon for young Chelsea team
Given that this is a very young Chelsea team lacking experience, though, winning the Premier League title this season may just be out of their reach.
However, in a year or two, with a bit more experience under their belt, maybe they could surpass the likes of Liverpool and City, who have ageing sides.
If Maresca’s men can finish in the top four, which you would now expect, it is a campaign that they can still be happy with, though fans will be dreaming about the title.
