Reports have recently linked Chelsea with the signing of a centre-back as the transfer window circus comes back to town.
It has been claimed that the Blues are considering the addition of Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo this month, as they continue to strengthen their ranks at the back.
It is expected that Trevoh Chalobah and Malang Sarr move on as soon as a decent proposal comes in for them, while there are no guarantees Thiago Silva’s Chelsea career lasts longer than this season.

Many though will still be looking at the players already at Stamford Bridge and wondering deep down whether they need to prioritise bringing in a centre-back.
Wesley Fofana’s fitness unfortunately can’t be relied on right now, however he is poised to return in the coming weeks to training with his teammates.
Another player who has had their fair share of injuries since joining is Benoit Badiashile, with him still getting back up to speed.
Colwill surely annoyed by Todibo interest
One option though who may be the most annoyed if a new defender does come in is Levi Colwill. The Englishman has found opportunities difficult to come by in the middle of defence so far.
Instead, he has featured predominantly at left-back, with the starting options there missing large portions of the season with their own injury concerns.
Both Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella have missed extended spells, and the manager has clearly not backed Ian Maatsen to start there.
While he has certainly played a part, it always looks as if he would be far more comfortable playing at centre-back and not directly defending against tricky wingers.
If another option comes through the door in the form of Todibo, it is likely the club begin to frustrate the 20-year-old after convincing him to sign a new contract with the Blues last summer amid interest from Brighton.
