Marc Guiu has Chelsea future after Arsenal start
Before the Arsenal game kicked off, Marc Guiu had only made four starts in a Chelsea shirt this season.
Simply put, he has been a fringe player but clearly did enough against Charlton to convince Liam Rosenior of his quality.
The fact that the 41-year-old was prepared to start the young striker in such a huge game shows he still has a future at Stamford Bridge.
While Guiu was available to be named in the first XI, Reece James and Cole Palmer missed out on the matchday squad entirely. Moises Caicedo could not be called upon either because of suspension.

Hopefully Chelsea can field their best team on the weekend when they play Brentford, a game the Blues need to win as they continue to slide down the Premier League table.
The question is, though, does Rosenior know his best team yet? Probably not.
Enzo Maresca would not have started Marc Guiu against Arsenal
After overlooking him before his departure, the reality is Enzo Maresca would have probably left Guiu on the bench.
Liam Delap is ill, but you suspect that Maresca would have gone with Joao Pedro in the No.9 role and played someone else behind.
Ultimately, Maresca’s exit has perhaps been good for some. Guiu’s Chelsea teammate Jorrel Hato was superb against Charlton, putting in his best performance in a blue shirt so far. He and Guiu really could benefit from this change.
