Enzo Maresca gave Chelsea fans a worrying update after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United was done yesterday.
The manager stated that Cole Palmer had ice on his knee, after he was caught late by Lisandro Martinez as Chelsea looked to break and find a winner.
Maresca was not happy with the referee after it was decided that the foul had not warranted a red card, despite VAR looking at the incident.
It remains to be seen if there is going to be any real impact on Chelsea’s star man from the challenge. He was always going to be rested on Thursday anyway as they return to Conference League action with the visit of Noah to Stamford Bridge.
Perhaps the benefit of having a quality squad the size of Chelsea’s is that they have the chance to bring in another top player in place of him should the situation require it.

Enzo Maresca should start Joao Felix if Cole Palmer is injured
There are a number for the boss to choose from, however he should consider starting Joao Felix in Palmer’s position should it be needed.
The Portugal international is yet to start in the Premier League since returning to the club, and finds appearances of any kind hard to rack up with Palmer as good as he is.
However, there is no better time than their next game for him to prove there was a reason they paid big money to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea fans waiting to see the best from Felix
The Blues go up against Arsenal next, and although will be desperate to have Palmer available, could well be relying on a maverick talent for a bit of magic if he is not.
There is no clearer candidate to provide this than Felix, who has made the most of his minutes in the cup competitions this season.
Glenn Hoddle praised Felix for his display in the Conference League recently. He will need to be at that level again if he is chosen to take part against the Gunners next weekend.
