Cesar Azpilicueta reportedly made his feelings known about way Chelsea were manhandled by Manchester City yesterday.

According to football.london, Azpilicueta let his anger out on the advertising boards during the disastrous 4-0 defeat in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The Spaniard began the encounter at the Etihad on the bench, having started the previous meeting with Pep Guardiola’s men just three days prior.

Graham Potter called upon his captain just after the hour mark last night, but the tie was dead and buried long before he entered the contest.

City scored three times in 15-minutes before the break, with Riyad Mahrez once again making his mark on Chelsea.

His delightful free-kick mid-way through the first-half sparked the home side into life and sent them on their way to a routine victory.

Julian Alvarez made it two from the spot moments later, following Kai Havertz’s handball in the box.

Phil Foden rounded off a terrific team goal with the interval in sight, which was the cue for many of the traveling fans to head for the exit door.

Cesar Azpilicueta was angered by Manchester City

By the time Azpilicueta replaced Jorginho, Guardiola’s men were simply strolling around the pitch.

This may have tipped the defender over the edge, as his emotions once again boiled over.

Football.london spotted the 33-year-old ‘clumsily’ fouling a City player, then booting the ball into the hoardings on the edge of the pitch out of pure frustration.

This apparently riled the home crowd up, who soon turned their jeers into cheers when Mahrez converted the fourth from 12-yards in the dying embers of the fixture.

City were on fire; Chelsea were simply snuffed out.
