'Has Brentford on strings': Some Chelsea fans amazed by their star's display in 2-0 win
Chelsea booked their spot in the Carabao Cup semi-finals by beating Brentford tonight – and some Blues fans on Twitter were left amazed by the performance of their player Trevoh Chalobah.
The Blues secured a 2-0 away victory on Wednesday night on their trip to Premier League rivals Brentford in the cup.
A make-shift Chelsea XI, which included debutants Jude Sunsoop-Bell, Harvey Vale and Xavier Simmons, are into the hat for the semi-finals.
It took until Pontus Jansson’s 80th minute own goal for the deadlock to be broken. Afterwards, substitute Jorginho scored from the penalty spot to secure victory.
Chelsea fans amazed by Chalobah
A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media say that their youngster Chalobah was outstanding against Brentford.
The 22-year-old defender was back in his preferred centre-back position tonight, as he lined up in the heart of the back three.
He’s got the versatility to cover in midfield, but he’s been immense in his debut season as a first-team player at Stamford Bridge this campaign.
He received a 7.50 match rating on Who Scored. His impressive individual performance included seven clearances and two interceptions.
