Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher was in action on Monday night for Crystal Palace in the Premier League – and even some Arsenal fans were left raving about the quality of the youngster’s display.

Gallagher played 90 minutes last night for Palace during their 2-2 draw away to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The 21-year-old was sent on a season-long loan this year by parent club Chelsea to Selhurst Park, where he’s made a great start during his opening couple of months with Palace.

He showed his attacking capabilities in his role as a box-to-box midfielder with attempts on goal against Arsenal. However, it was his overall tenacious performance out of possession that caught the eye.

The England Under-21 international’s reputation appears to be growing every week as he consistently turns in strong displays at Premier League level.

Conor Gallagher loan working a treat

This is arguably the one Chelsea loan this season that Blues fans should be most excited about.

He tasted his first year of the English top flight during a challenging season with West Brom in the previous campaign, but now looks to be playing for a much stronger Palace side.

The all-action central midfielder has come out of the Chelsea academy and it’s easy to envisage him pushing for a place at Stamford Bridge in 2022.

Jamie Carragher has previously raved about “energetic” Gallagher this season.

Even Arsenal fans applaud Gallagher

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media couldn’t help praise a player on Chelsea’s books after his Monday display against them.

You’d have a hard job finding an Arsenal fan hailing Gallagher if he was sporting a Chelsea top. There were plenty, though, that had massive admiration for his efforts in a Palace shirt.

Here are some Gunners fans crediting Gallagher:
