Chelsea announced on Thursday that Christian Pulisic has returned to training with the squad – and some Blues fans on Twitter absolutely love the news coming from the club.

The Blues confirmed on their official website today that Pulisic is now back in training. He’s been pictured on the club’s training pitches.

In addition, N’Golo Kante, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta all returned to training as well after missing the midweek Carabao Cup win against Southampton.

For Pulisic, he’s not played a Chelsea game since mid-August. The 23-year-old attacker has been unfortunate with illness and injuries, so has had to watch on from the sidelines.

He’s returning at a time when Thomas Tuchel’s men are top of the Premier League table, with a trip to Newcastle United coming up this Saturday.

However, they are currently without injured forwards Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea fans fully behind Pulisic

A selection of Blues supporters on social media are praying that this can now be the turning point for Pulisic when it comes to injuries.

The American speedster has had several setbacks during his time at Stamford Bridge, but he should still have most of his career ahead of him.

If you look at the Blues XI, the skilful winger can add something extra to it with his pace and directness.

It’s worth noting that there is no official timeframe yet on when Pulisic can play again, though.

Here are some Chelsea fans celebrating the Pulisic training news:

Is it make or break?

It’s alarming how many injury problems Pulisic has picked up now in the last couple of years.

He’s still under contract until 2024 and clearly a wonderfully talented footballer, but one more long-term injury problem could be the final straw for some of the fanbase.

It does feel like whenever he builds up any momentum an injury strikes.

Chelsea need to unleash him once again when he’s fully match sharp and it feels like he’s reached a crossroads in his career at Stamford Bridge.
