'Tears in my eyes': Chelsea fans react to what Tuchel did just after Hudson-Odoi scored last night

Thomas Tuchel gave Chelsea supporters on social media another reason to admire him following his celebration for the third goal against Juventus last night.

Tuchel’s team took their Italian guests apart in the Champions League yesterday, treating the Stamford Bridge faithful to a 4-0 mauling.

Reece James then sent a strike hurtling past Wojciech Szczesny in the second half, before Callum Hudson-Odoi made it three, three minutes later.

Timo Werner topped off a terrific evening in extra time by tapping in from a delightful Hakim Ziyech delivery.

Tuchel time

Every goal was greeted with rapturous noise from the home crowd, yet one effort, in particular, grabbed Tuchel’s attention most.

The BT Sport cameras captured the German coach running onto the pitch in adulation after Hudson-Odoi put Juve to the sword for a third time.

It was a moment that summarised the manager’s commitment to the club, but also his love for every member of the squad.

Certainly a scene that touched every Chelsea fan that managed to feast their eyes on the image.

Here’s how they reacted to Tuchel’s pitch party on Twitter:

Goals galore

It’s surprising Tuchel didn’t exit his technical area every time his side scythed through Juve, such was the quality of their execution.

Chalobah’s half-volley was finished like a seasoned striker, not a youthful defender.

We have come to expect those type of destructive drives from James, who gave Szczesny little hope of saving his smash into the far corner.

Whilst the opening pair of goals were about power, Hudson-Odoi’s was all about precision, patience and intricacy.

After a neat passage of play, Ruben Loftus-Cheek danced past four Juve defenders to enable his teammate a clean strike at the net.

Werner then sealed the deal with a simple prod over the line from Ziyech’s perfect cross.

A five-star performance all round from Chelsea and another display to help Hudson-Odoi continue to nail down his place in Tuchel’s starting line-up.
