'Too underrated': Some Chelsea fans react after seeing who's created the most chances in their side

Callum Hudson-Odoi has created the most chances for Chelsea in the Premier League this season – and some Blues fans on Twitter have been raving about their “underrated” attacker.

Chelsea shared on their official Twitter some key statistics from the league season so far.

Hudson-Odoi has created the most chances (19) for the table toppers.

Meanwhile, Blues defender Antonio Rudiger has the most touches (792) and most passes (694). Also, Kai Havertz has had the most Chelsea shots (19).

Chelsea fans wax lyrical about Hudson-Odoi

A selection of Chelsea supporters on social media say the stat surfacing about Hudson-Odoi proves how he goes under the radar.

The English attacker has only played in five of the opening 11 Premier Leauge games this season, which highlights how effective he is in the final third when he plays.

He’s a throwback to a traditional winger given that he loves to get to the byline and put crosses in. Also, he thrives off facing defenders one-on-one.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has had to rotate his attacking options throughout the season due to various injuries. However, Hudson-Odoi has definitely made the most of his opportunity in the last few weeks and deserves to maintain a role in the XI in this current form.

Adds directness

For Chelsea, they can sometimes lack a bit of urgency and penetration going forward. They are going to need to become better in attack to maintain a league title bid, though.

Hudson-Odoi is someone opponents won’t enjoy facing, as he’s going to keep coming with speed and aggression regardless of what comes off for him.

The attacker is getting to play on the left flank now like he prefers, which is a massive benefit him.
