Chelsea are now worried that Romeo Lavia could miss several more weeks with an injury problem.
That is according to a report from The Daily Mail.
Romeo Lavia, who’s just 19, is yet to make his Chelsea debut since he joined from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
Unfortunately, it sounds like that wait for the £50,000-a-week (Spotrac) midfielder will go on a little while longer still.

The Daily Mail claims that Lavia went over on his ankle last week during a training incident at Cobham.
It is understood that the early indications from the scan are that the Belgian youngster may miss up to six weeks as he recovers from the problem.
If he’s ruled out until the end of October, he’s set to miss several important games in the Premier League and cup. Chelsea play Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Brighton (Carabao Cup), Fulham, Burnley, Arsenal and Brentford before the end of next month.

Theo Walcott recently described Lavia as a “very good player” with great pace, as quoted by The Overlap.
He was one of several exciting signings made by Chelsea recently, especially in the centre of the park.
However, the defensive midfielder’s injury problems are testing the patience of Blues supporters.
Thankfully, Mauricio Pochettino does have several different midfield options he can call upon for the games ahead.
