Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante has reportedly suffered an injury setback that could see him miss the next few weeks.
Kante, 31, hasn’t played since mid-August because of a hamstring problem.
The French midfielder has been spotted training with the group recently, but it sounds like his first appearance under Graham Potter may still be quite far in the future.
Potter shared earlier this week that Kante had suffered a “reaction in training”, so there is now a wait for official confirmation on his fitness.
According to L’Equipe, the France international will be sidelined for “several more weeks” after another injury problem.

N’Golo Kante injury
Kante, who Potter described as a “world-class player” recently, can’t seem to catch a break.
For Chelsea, they would love to have their box-to-box midfield star playing.
As for France, there are serious concerns going into the World Cup that kickstarts next month in Qatar.
If fit, Kante can still be one of the world’s top midfielders. It’s been more noticeable in the past couple of years that his body is breaking down more often, though.

Despite Kante’s absence so far under Potter, Chelsea do look strong in the centre of the park.
The midfield pivot of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic is impressing in Chelsea’s engine room. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is another midfielder catching the eye, too.
It’s going to be interesting to see how the Blues go about replacing a player like Kante in the long-term.
