Chelsea star Timo Werner has uploaded an Instagram message on Thursday afternoon after sustaining an injury last night in the Champions League.
Werner limped off with a hamstring problem on Wednesday night in a 4-0 demolition of Malmo at Stamford Bridge.
There has been no official update yet on the German attacker’s fitness, but perhaps he’s given a hint to the club’s fans with a post on social media.
The 25-year-old has posted an eight-word message on his official Instagram account:
“Will give my all to be back soon,” he wrote:
Werner injury a kick in the teeth
Werner obviously didn’t need an injury setback when he had recently forced his way into the XI at Stamford Bridge.
The forward was trying to develop a partnership with teammate Romelu Lukaku, but the duo both came off against Malmo in the first half with injury problems.
Werner’s time in English football has been a rollercoaster so far, so this should hopefully be just a minor bump.

Chelsea fans must wait for official prognosis
Historically, Werner could be out for a few weeks if he’s sustained a grade 1 hamstring problem. However, this is only speculation right now and supporters are patiently waiting to hear an announcement from the club.
There is a November international break on the horizon, so that may work on the speedster’s side in terms of having extra time to recover.
Thomas Tuchel’s side do play five games though before players link up with their countries again.
The London giants will look to keep their lead at the top of the Premier League table with fixtures against Norwich City, Newcastle United and Burnley. Also, they face Southampton in the Carabao Cup and Malmo again in the Champions League groups stages.
