England U-21 players praise 'absolute tank' Chelsea talent Marc Guehi
Several England U21 players have named on-loan Chelsea centre-back Marc Guehi as the strongest player in the Young Lions squad.
The 20-year-old is currently on a season-long loan spell at Swansea City in the Championship.
Guehi has managed to establish himself as a regular starter at the loan club, having started in 32 of the 37 league games the Swans have played so far.
Given his consistent performance at the loan club, it is hardly a surprise that Guehi has earned a spot in the England U21 squad for the U-21 European Championships.
In a recent England “Team-mates” video, some England U21 players seem to be impressed by how strong the Chelsea academy graduate is.
“Easy, Marc Guehi. He’s an absolute tank,” Stoke City goalkeeper Josef Bursik said when asked to pick the strongest player in the England U21 squad.
“It’s like having a brick wall in front of you, he’s massive.”
Conor Gallagher also backed his Chelsea teammate, saying: “Definitely Marc.
“You can’t get round him and you can’t move him, so it’s definitely him.”
While Guehi is quite confident about his strength and said: “People are saying it’s out of me and [Everton’s] Ben [Godfrey].
“Ben is very, very strong but I’ll back myself and say me.”
