Ian Maatsen has admitted he’s had no contact from Chelsea yet to discuss his future this summer.
Ian Maatsen, who turned 21 this month, is a young defender still on the books at Chelsea.
However, the attack-minded left-back is enjoying a superb individual campaign during his season-long loan in the Championship.
He’s been a regular starter this season for Vincent Kompany’s Burnley side, who are flying towards the Championship title and promotion back to the Premier League.
The Chelsea loanee has four goals and six assists in 34 Burnley appearances this season across all competitions.

Maatsen has shared that he’s not had any discussions yet with Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
When asked if he’d spoken to his parent club, as quoted by the Burnley Express, the full-back said: “No, not yet. I’m just focussed on Burnley and finishing the season. After that we will see what my plan is for next season.
“We have to see what the plans are and what I really want. I’ll decide after the season. I will keep my options open.”
Maatsen said in the New Year he speaks regularly with Chelsea first-team player Hakim Ziyech, but that is clearly not the same with Potter and his staff.
It’s going to be a waiting game to see what happens with the Blues youngster this summer.

The rave reviews coming out of Burnley suggest Maatsen is definitely ready for top-flight football next season, but do Chelsea have room for him in their squad?
The left-back position is currently filled by Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella, albeit the latter has been playing centre-back since a change of formation to a back three.
It’s going to be interesting this summer to see what Potter makes of the situation.
If there’s no room, we would like to think the youngster could generate a big player sale in the transfer window.
