Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna has quickly been impressed by what he’s seen from Chelsea loanee Omari Hutchinson.
Omari Hutchinson, who’s just 19, exited Chelsea less than a week ago for a season-long loan in the Championship.
The teenage winger has temporarily moved away from Stamford Bridge in search of regular first-team action, so can he enjoy success at Portman Road?
Ipswich were promoted from League One last season, playing an eye-catching brand of football, and have now got a talented Chelsea prospect in their ranks to try and help them in England’s second tier.

Despite the fact he only joined Ipswich last Thursday, Hutchinson has since played in two pre-season games ahead of the new 2023/24 campaign.
The 19-year-old’s new manager has already been signing the Chelsea youngster’s praises.
“You can see the talent,” McKenna commented on Hutchinson, as quoted by the East Anglian Daily Times.
“You can see the technical and the skill level, you can see the enthusiasm for the game. He’s shown some good bits of work off the ball as well, which is a good starting point. The supporters will enjoy him and we’re enjoying having him here.”

We’re very intrigued to see how Hutchinson copes with the physicality and pace of a frantic Championship division.
It felt like a no-brainer to send the skilful wide player out on loan this year because he’s not quite ready for a first-team breakthrough at Stamford Bridge.
It was a very small sample size with two senior appearances in Chelsea colours, but he’s a youngster that looks a tad lightweight and needs time to fill out.
We won’t be surprised if he returns next year a completely different player. Hopefully, he can nail down a spot in the Ipswich line-up to help his progress.
