Chelsea fans were impressed with Ben Chilwell’s performance in England’s 1-1 draw with Ukraine on Saturday.
Ben Chilwell has been playing in a left wing role this season but started in his normal left-back position for the game against Serhiy Rebrov’s side.
He was unable to help England win all three points, but Chelsea supporters were still pleased with his display and took to Twitter to both praise the 26-year-old and question Mauricio Pochettino’s decision not to use him in his preferred position.

One fan said: “Chilwell has had a decent game at LB.”
Another added: “Chilwell at LB has been solid so far.”
Mauricio Pochettino should move Ben Chilwell back to left-back
Honestly, it is hard to see what exactly Pochettino is accomplishing by playing Chilwell in an attacking position.
Going forward, the England international can be quite useful. He set up Axel Disasi’s equaliser against Liverpool at the start of the season, for example.

However, when you have the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke, natural attackers, it makes little sense to start someone who is a left-back by trade in the frontline.
That tactical tweak is probably not solely to blame for Chelsea’s poor start to the season. However, with it not accomplishing much so far, Pochettino needs to give serious consideration to ditching it.
Mudryk has not been in the best form since joining the Blues, while Madueke did have a bit of an injury problem during pre-season. Nevertheless, after the international break, you suspect that Chelsea supporters will want to see one of the two or new signing Cole Palmer starting in attack ahead of Chilwell.
