Chelsea’s 4-1 win against Burnley at Turf Moor this afternoon was a very significant one.

It means the Blues have now won back-to-back away games in the Premier League for the first time since October 2022, a stat shared by Squawka after their victory.

Prior to Chelsea’s win versus Vincent Kompany’s men, they beat Fulham 2-0 at Craven Cottage.

After a very disappointing start to the season, things are now starting to look much better for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who are slowly climbing up the table.

Pochettino will be pleased with some of the individual performances he saw today, with summer signing Cole Palmer doing his part.

The attacking midfielder managed to score his first goal for the Blues, putting them 2-1 up from the spot before Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson netted to make it 4-1.

Chelsea will be in for a much harder game after the international break, though, as they take on London rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

It will not be an easy fixture for Pochettino’s men, but they at least go into it with some momentum after those two wins against Burnley and Fulham.

If they can see off Mikel Arteta’s side, though, then the rest of the Premier League may have to start taking the club seriously again.

There is a lot of work to do if Chelsea are to qualify for the Champions League this season. But after these last two matches, it does not look impossible. They just need to maintain the level that they have been playing at.
