Christopher Nkunku proved to be the match-winner in Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Christopher Nkunku got a little bit of help from Jadon Sancho, though, with the winger setting him up in the 86th minute of the match.
Both Chelsea players were introduced in the second half, combining to devastating effect to help Enzo Maresca‘s side win 1-0.
Sancho was really happy after his Chelsea debut, and it seems that Nkunku was really happy with him.

Christopher Nkunku thanks Jadon Sancho after Chelsea’s win against Bournemouth
Chelsea fans would have been thanking Nkunku after the Bournemouth game. They were heading for another draw before the forward came on and scored the winner.
Nkunku, on the other hand, has been thanking Sancho after his role in his all-important goal.
Following the match, the 24-year-old shared a post on Instagram, stating that he was “delighted” to make his debut for the Blues.
In response, Nkunku wrote, “Thank you my bro”, clearly in reference to Sancho’s assist.
Paul Merson predicted Sancho to start, but Pedro Neto got the nod ahead of him. When it was time for the England international to come on, though, he managed to do his job and help guide Chelsea to three points.
Should Christopher Nkunku start against West Ham United?
Chelsea’s next game is against London rivals West Ham United next Saturday. It will be another tough away match, with Maresca’s men having to travel to the London Stadium.
With that in mind, then, it may be worth starting Nkunku up front for that encounter instead of Nicolas Jackson.
Chelsea will need to be clinical if they want to win what is likely to be a hard fixture, and Nkunku has a bit more cutting edge than his teammate.
It was clear to see that when the Frenchman took his only chance of the game against Bournemouth, which had an xG of just 0.30 (Sofascore). Maresca will have a decision to make heading into the West Ham match.
