The majority of Chelsea’s game against Manchester United on Sunday was pretty boring.
It was not until Rasmus Hojlund won a penalty around the 70th minute, which Bruno Fernandes converted, that the match between Chelsea and Manchester United started to get exciting.
That goal was then cancelled out by Moises Caicedo’s excellent strike before a bad challenge on Cole Palmer resulted in a scuffle between the two sets of players.
Enzo Maresca was really unhappy with the tackle, going to referee Robert Jones at the end of the game to ask why Lisandro Martinez was only given a yellow card. Overall, though, it was not the most exciting Premier League encounter, especially the first half.

Gary Neville loved Cole Palmer skill
While the first half of Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with United was one to forget, there was one moment that was very enjoyable to watch.
Palmer beat Casemiro and Marcus Rashford with an excellent piece of skill before being fouled by Manuel Ugarte.
Discussing that bit of play while on commentary duty for Sky Sports (03/11/2024 at 17:13), United legend Gary Neville said: “In a match of such low quality and poor football, this is the standout moment from Cole Palmer. His touch is beautiful and he goes past two players like they are not there.”
Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was the man who gave away the second-half penalty, but Neville was impressed with one punch Sanchez made in the first 45 minutes.
Not Cole Palmer’s best game
It was a moment of brilliance from Palmer, but the £45m attacking midfielder would probably admit that he was not at his best at Old Trafford.
Palmer failed to score or provide an assist, which he cannot do every week in his defence.
However, Palmer was also unable to register a single shot on target, with all three of his shots being blocked, according to Sofascore.
Yet the 22-year-old still earned a match rating of 7.7 after making three key passes and creating one big chance, showing that even when he is not at his best, he can still make something happen.
