All the talk following Chelsea’s colossal win over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge revolved around match-winner Estevao Willian.

The Brazilian came off the bench to score his first competitive goal for the Blues by converting a pinpoint Marc Cucurella cross to send the home fans crazy.

Pat Nevin described Estevao as ‘special’ following the game, and the delight was clear to see on his face as he celebrated after the final whistle.

Estevao celebrated with Cole Palmer after the game, with the England international one of the many who were forced to watch from the sidelines due to injury.

Chelsea players wowed by Estevao Willian after Liverpool win

Being just 18 years of age, it was clear Estevao was going to be a popular goalscorer, and the Blues squad have taken to social media since full-time to praise the youngster.

Palmer posted an Instagram story with the Brazilian, while fellow South American Enzo Fernandez posted a congratulatory message on the platform.

The likes of Joao Pedro, Marc Cucurella, Reece James and Andrey Santos all left comments on Estevao’s Instagram post to praise him after his big moment.

Enzo Maresca will have been hoping for an impact from his substitutes when he tweaked with his side throughout the second half, and he will have loved what he saw from those who came on.

Chelsea subs change the game vs Liverpool

As was the case when the Blues played Liverpool at Stamford Bridge last season, Romeo Lavia looked outstanding in midfield, helping Chelsea win the battle in the middle of the park.

There were also positive influences from Marc Guiu and Jamie Gittens off the bench, with the boss completely changing the look of his attack as they chased the winning goal.

Perhaps the substitute the manager will be most happy with is Jorrel Hato, who came on at centre-back as both Josh Acheampong and Benoit Badiashile were forced off with injuries.

The Dutchman has struggled in his early weeks in the Premier League, but Hato came in for praise for his performance at the back.
