Chelsea defender Axel Disasi can understand why Blues supporters reacted the way they did after the 0-0 draw with Bournemouth earlier today.

Axel Disasi and his team-mates were booed off by Chelsea fans at the end of their match at the Vitality Stadium in which they dropped more points, and the French centre-half does not blame them for their response.

Talking to PLP and as relayed by BBC Sport, he said: “I understand. They want us to win every game because we are Chelsea, we are ambitious. We have to win every game and I understand. I can say just to keep going together and I think in the future it will be good for the club.”

It was another disappointing afternoon for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, who were unable to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest with a win.

However, they were at least able to keep a clean sheet, which is only their second of the season.

Chelsea fans booing not a surprise

Chelsea supporters have been putting up with bad results and poor performances for a while now, so it is not a shock that some decided to vent their frustration at the players after the Bournemouth game.

You have to have some sympathy for Pochettino, though, who is contending with so many injuries right now.

The Argentine was without the club’s record signing Moises Caicedo today, as well as captain Reece James, who has not played since the Blues’ first game of the campaign against Liverpool.

With that being said, Pochettino still has a squad strong enough to beat Bournemouth. There was quality all over the pitch, with the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Raheem Sterling still being available for the match.

So how do Chelsea win back their supporters? The simple answer is start to win games again, but that looks much easier said than done at the minute.
