Moises Caicedo was given Man of the Match for his performance against Manchester United, but some Chelsea fans didn’t agree with that as they picked a different player.
Enzo Maresca‘s side weren’t quite at the races at Old Trafford, as they drifted in and out of the game.
There were bright moments from Chelsea and chances on offer, but the finishing just wasn’t there, as Noni Madueke squandered a golden opportunity with his head from point blank range.
One player who did turn up in Manchester was Moises Caicedo, who was given the Man of the Match award on Sky Sports after a rampant display in midfield.
However, he wasn’t the player who some Chelsea fans thought should have been given the Man of the Match award, as there was another players name who cropped up.
Pedro Neto’s performance in numbers against Man United
Pedro Neto was given another starting role at Old Trafford on the left-hand side, and he put in a very respectable shift, lasting the full 90 minutes.
He had 45 touches of the ball, a passing accuracy of 86%, one shot on target, completed two of his dribbles, won eight duels, was fouled four times and made two tackles.
The Portuguese winger offered that directness that has been missing at Chelsea in the past, constantly looking to get at his defender and pull the ball back.
We personally wouldn’t say it was his best-ever performance for Chelsea, but he was one of the only players who can be proud of their display.
It was his work rate off the ball, too, and the part he played in the press, as well as defensively, with his mammoth amount of duels won.

Many Chelsea fans, when speaking on X, all thought that Pedro Neto deserved to be handed the Man of the Match award for his performance.
