Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior is a happy man right now, and it is not hard to understand why.
On Saturday afternoon, Rosenior picked up his first Premier League win as manager, overseeing his side’s 2-0 victory against west London rivals Brentford.
Joao Pedro starred in the Brentford win, while Cole Palmer also had a very good game.

Liam Rosenior not surprised by Robert Sanchez’s performance against Brentford
Rosenior is definitely pleased with Sanchez’s performance against Keith Andrews’ side. He thought the goalkeeper was excellent, but his display has not caught the 41-year-old by surprise.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, which has been relayed by football.london, Rosenior said: “He was outstanding. His distribution, in terms of him commanding the box and the saves we needed him to make. It doesn’t surprise me.”
Filip Jorgensen is the No.2 challenging Sanchez for a starting spot right now, but that may not be the case for much longer.

It has been claimed that Jorgensen wants to join West Ham United this month to boost his chances of going to the World Cup.
Jorgensen has made just one start in the Premier League this season, with both former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca and his successor Rosenior preferring Sanchez over him.

Robert Sanchez recovers from Arsenal nightmare
Sanchez needed to deliver against Brentford after a disappointing showing in Chelsea’s first-leg defeat to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
The Spaniard was responsible for two of the goals his side conceded in their 3-2 defeat. He could not have any complaints had Rosenior chosen to drop him for Saturday’s match.
However, the former Strasbourg boss stuck with Sanchez and his decision to do so has been vindicated. In Rosenior’s words, Sanchez was outstanding as he commanded his box.
In Sanchez’s defence, he had ironed out the mistakes in his game up until the Arsenal match. Chelsea fans should not be too critical, though you can understand their frustration given the magnitude of the fixture versus Mikel Arteta’s men.
