Chelsea gave their best team performance of the season as they thumped Burnley 4-0 at Turf Moor. Here are our player grades.
Kepa: 7 –
His handling of high crosses is a little concerning. His ability in playing the ball out from the back is outstanding though and this factor contributes to high grade.
Cesar Azpilicueta: 6 –
He played fine. Improving his speed of thought in posession and delivered a few good crosses to Giroud.
Antonio Rudiger: 7 –
Made several fast, incisive passes forward that turned to Burnley midfield around. Was also first on the scene after Morata was bullied to the ground by three Burnley players.

David Luiz: 6 –
His passing into the forwards was excellent. This quality is so rare for central defenders. Did not have much of a Burnley threat to deal with.
Marcos Alonso: 7 –
Made several opportunities by surging forwards and playing in Morata. Effective in the opposition third but doubts remain about his defending.
Jorginho: 8 –
So vital in retaining the ball in tight situations. He makes a difficult part of the game look easy.
N’Golo Kante: 7 –
His passing was quicker and more accurate today which shows he is at least starting to improve this aspect of his game.
Ross Barkley: 9 –
Top of the grades. Lovely pass for the first goal and super left-footed strike for the second. His passing is now crisp and accurate. He scarcely gave the ball away. His improvement is a testament to Sarri’s coaching.https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/premier-league/chelsea-fans-call-for-ross-barkley-to-start-after-important-equaliser-against-manchester-united/

Ruben Loftus-Cheek: 7 –
After coming on for Pedro early on, Loftus-Cheek was uncomfortable out wide. Whenever he picked up a central position he always did something productive. He needs to play in the midfield three.
Willian: 8 –
He is a different player when on the left hand side. He cuts inside and shoots so accurately and powerfully. Linked up well and generally had a fantastic game.
Alvaro Morata: 8 –
His best game of the season. When he is playing well, his presence over Olivier Giroud’s makes the team better. He made clever runs in behind and constantly got into threatening areas. Good finish for the goal. He looks more confident.
