One Chelsea player’s performance has perhaps gone under the radar a bit following his side’s 3-0 win over Barcelona on Tuesday.
Understandably, Estevao Willian and Marc Cucurella are receiving a lot of credit. The former scored a brilliant goal for the Blues, while the latter had Lamine Yamal locked up all game.
John Terry was one of many to come out and praise Estevao following his wonderful strike past Joan Garcia.
John Terry was wowed by Estevao’s display vs Barcelona!
At the same time, though, the former Chelsea captain has also made sure to acknowledge Pedro Neto’s display.

John Terry couldn’t believe Pedro Neto’s speed during Barcelona clash
Neto’s pace is nothing new. It is undoubtedly one of the reasons why Chelsea decided to spend more than £50m on him last year.
However, against Barcelona’s high line, Chelsea supporters, including Terry, got to see the true extent of the wide man’s speed.
In a video on his TikTok, Terry said: “We posed a real threat, exposing Barcelona’s high line tonight with Neto’s pace in behind. How quick is this man? What a threat, and what a different option he gives us playing as a number nine.”
The highlights from Chelsea’s dominant victory over Barcelona!
Neto has played on the right and the left this season, but he started up front against Barcelona on Tuesday.
Before the game, Enzo Maresca spoke about Neto’s position for the game and why he decided to use him at the tip of the team’s attack.

Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho two of the fastest players at Chelsea
Neto is not the only speedster at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea also have Alejandro Garnacho following his arrival from Manchester United over the summer.
In the Blues’ 3-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers just before the international break, Garnacho hit a top speed of 33.95km/h! It was the fastest run of the game.
All in all, because of Neto, Garnacho, Estevao and Jamie Gittens, Chelsea have some really exciting wide options.
Barcelona quickly came to realise that as they were terrorised by Pedro and Estevao. The former did not play in his regular position, but he was still able to use his pace very effectively as a No.9.
Going into Chelsea’s next game against Arsenal, Maresca is certainly spoilt for choice.
