However, some of the better performances have actually come at Under-21 level, with one player in particular finding the net on a regular basis.

Madueke with 10/10 performance

Noni Madueke has been a star for the Young Lions for sometime now, however has taken the last week as his opportunity to step up even further.

He started the two fixtures off with a goal as part of a comfortable win, however things were taken to the next level with the 7-0 drubbing of Luxembourg.

The Chelsea man was on target twice, as his side ran rampant up in Bolton.

He also picked up two assists, clearly taking the good feeling from his late goal against Leicester into the international break.

Last night’s display in particular though was something special from Madueke, with it being described as a ‘perfect performance’.

Madueke should start vs Burnley

The youngster will now be hoping that Mauricio Pochettino has been paying attention to what he was up to over the last week.

Despite being at the club for over a year now, regular outings are still very difficult to come by for the player signed for a fee of around £29m.

The poor recent form of Raheem Sterling has seen him not selected for his country this week, and the manager may be about to add to his misery if he decides not to pick him when club football returns on Saturday.

Mykhailo Mudryk is also pushing for a start, after his heroics for Ukraine last night.
