One Premier League youngster who Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing has now perhaps hinted at an affection to the club or one of their players.

Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez took to Twitter to post a photo of him playing earlier this season, where he is closely marking Blues winger Raheem Sterling.

It was reported last month that Kerkez had been one of the names on the list for Chelsea to potentially sign at the end of this season.

It went on to say that the Blues had been scouting the 20-year-old, who has made the breakthrough to become a Premier League defender this season.

The Blues are seemingly going to be in the market for a defender at the end of the season. This is as a result of Thiago Silva being likely to move on after his contract comes to an end.

Kerkez posts photo with Sterling

While Kerkez has been one of a few names linked to the club in recent weeks, he has been one who has seemed to hint that he may have some affection for the Blues.

He posted a photo alongside Sterling from the 0-0 meeting between the two sides in the early stages of this season.

The England international has remained an important player for Mauricio Pochettino this season, although this has not put to an end speculation that he could be surplus to requirements.

It has been exclusively told to The Chelsea Chronicle that the manager is not the reason behind the reported desire to cash in on him, meaning this is likely a decision from upstairs.

With there being a reported divide on the board at Stamford Bridge over what the future should hold for Pochettino, there is probably equally as much dispute over whether they should sell Sterling at the end of this season.
