Reports have claimed that Chelsea are now set to drop Benoit Badiashile for the upcoming huge Premier League game against Tottenham.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues are expected to start the refreshed pairing of Levi Colwill and Thiago Silva instead of the Frenchman despite his return from injury.
Badiashile was the biggest story of the EFL Cup tie against Blackburn Rovers during the week, as the Blues booked their place in the quarter-finals of the competition with a 2-0 victory.

The Frenchman made his first appearance of the season against the lower-league opposition, after missing more than five months due to injury.
When Frank Lampard hinted that he would be out for a while back in May, no one predicted that it would be until November before he was on the pitch at Stamford Bridge again.
However, his performance showed exactly what Chelsea have been missing since he was out. He even contributed the opening goal from close range.
Despite this, it has now been claimed that he is expected to miss out on a place in the starting side that visit the league leaders on Monday night.
Silva and Colwill have started every single game this season, something that was almost certainly not the plan for the 39-year-old at this stage of his career.
The England international has featured at both left-back and centre-back this season, depending on who has been fit in those positions.
Recent weeks have seen a resurgence in form from Marc Cucurella, who after looking as if he was surplus to requirements, has become a key option again under Mauricio Pochettino.
The long-term plan is surely for both Colwill and Badiashile to both play in the starting side, perhaps with the former occupying the role on the left.
