Journalist Fabrice Hawkins has claimed that Axel Disasi has now been handed a late call-up to the France national team for the upcoming fixtures.
He took to Twitter to state that the Chelsea defender will replace Jules Kounde in the squad after the Barcelona man withdrew due to injury.
There were many who have been watching Disasi play recently that would have been surprised to see him not called up to the original squad to represent the World Cup runners up.

The player has been imperious recently, and has in fact impressed ever since his £38m move over the summer.
He joined with very little fanfare, however immediately made himself known with the fans by scoring on the opening day of the season against Liverpool.
Disasi called up for France
Despite some very talented players in his position, Disasi has been an ever present in the Chelsea team under Mauricio Pochettino.
This impressive form certainly saw him deserve a call up to the national team, and Hawkins has claimed that he has now been given this honour at the 11th hour.

He said: “French team: Axel Disasi called to replace Jules Koundé package.”
Chelsea supporters and coaching staff will now just be praying that he comes back unscathed in a couple of weeks’ time when the Premier League gets back underway.
He will certainly be in Pochettino’s plans to start the next game, when they welcome Arsenal to Stamford Bridge.
