Tottenham star Cristian Romero has suggested Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez is even better than Manchester City icon Sergio Aguero.
Cristian Romero, who’s a £42million defender (Sky Sports) for Spurs, has been speaking on Prime Video Sport’s Tik Tok about the best Argentine players to ever play in England.
The Argentine centre-back has named the top five fellow countrymen to play in England’s top division, which included some interesting selections. It’s pretty obvious from the selection he’s favouring current stars he play alongside right now at international level.

At number five, former Spurs star Ossie Ardiles, who was a key figure for them in the 1980s. Afterwards, retired Man City striker Sergio Aguero in at fourth spot.
He completes his top five with Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister at third. This is followed by Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez at second behind first place Lisandro Martinez from Manchester United.
Now, this is clearly only Romero’s personal opinion, which is understandably bias from his own experience.
We’ll like to put on record Aguero’s one of the greatest overseas players to grace the Premier League. Hopefully, 22-year-old midfielder Fernandez can sit on the top table of Premier League great one day, but that’s a long, long way off.

If Fernandez does hold one thing over Aguero right now, it’s winning the World Cup.
The biggest trophy in football alluded Aguero during his unbelievable career. Meanwhile, Fernandez was an integral player in the South American giants lifting the World Cup trophy in 2022.
