Goals were actually not too hard to come by for Chelsea last season as they made a return to European football for next season.
Defending was certainly not the strongest under Mauricio Pochettino, although this trend does seem to be rearing its head again following the opening two pre-season friendlies under Enzo Maresca.
This came despite the fact that the side missed a heap of big chances in front of goals. Supporters will remember the EFL Cup final in particular where they threw away opportunities for fun.
Despite this, one player stood above all and was really the main reason the Blues picked up any success at all last season.
Cole Palmer was nominated for Premier League player of the year in his first real season as a first team star following his £45m move. He also cleaned up at the in-house club awards ceremony.

Cole Palmer the most clinical Premier League player from big chances
It seems as if he made the most of his big chances too. According to WhoScored, the Chelsea man scored from 68% of his opportunities that were deemed as ‘big chances’.
This tally was higher than any other player in the league, and is actually quite staggering when considering how low a striker such as Darwin Nunez ranked.
Any success the Blues are going to have under Maresca is likely to be as a result of Palmer replicating some of his brilliance from last season.
Confidence Palmer can get even better under Enzo Maresca
It has even been claimed that there is confidence at the club that Palmer can become even better under the new manager.
The position the England international is going to play is under debate at the moment, with him starring in both a central role and off the right.
It will take a while for that conundrum to be solved though, with him not set to join up with the rest of the squad until they return from their tour of the United States.
