Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo was spotted crying on the pitch after his country’s exit from the World Cup was confirmed yesterday.
The 21-year-old has been widely linked with a reported £85m move to Stamford Bridge.
His time in Qatar is over though unfortunately, despite only losing one game in the group stages.

After beating the hosts and potentially deserving more than a draw against the Netherlands, they fell short last night in the key match against Senegal.
Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly inspired the African side to the victory, scoring the goal that sent them to the knockout stages for the first time in 20 years.
Caicedo had actually put his side on the brink of qualifying earlier in the game. His equalising goal midway through the second half at the time put the results in Ecuador’s favour to qualify.
Caicedo left in tears
However, it wasn’t to be, and the entertaining South American’s were dumped out, much to the disappointment of the Brighton midfielder.
He was seen visibly distraught after the final whistle, in tears as the realisation hit that his tournament was over.
The 21-year-old will now have to focus on a return for club football, as his side Brighton look to maintain their excellent start to the season.

This tournament will surely only have increased interest in the midfielder’s services in a future transfer window.
Chelsea have already been linked with a deal earlier this season. It is not difficult to imagine new manager Graham Potter being interested in bringing in the player he gave his debut in the Premier League.
With N’golo Kante and Jorginho both no closer as of yet to signing new contracts with the club, a midfield exodus could be on the cards, and a long-term option to stabilise things should be one of the priorities next summer.
