Stuart Pearce criticised Chelsea youngster Lewis Hall for a sloppy performance in Saturday’s goalless draw against Liverpool.
The Blues left Anfield with a point in the Premier League after a 0-0 draw with Liverpool, which is a result that doesn’t really help either team in their quest to hunt down the top-four spots.
There were some really encouraging moments from Graham Potter’s side, who shaded it in terms of being an attacking threat.
However, Chelsea’s struggles in front of goal this season were emphasised by firing a blank again.

Lewis Hall display
TalkSPORT pundit Stuart Pearce was critical of Hall for his performance on Merseyside this weekend.
The 18-year-old talent, who’s performed superbly in recent games as a left wing-back, started against Liverpool in a preferred central midfield position.
Unfortunately, he found it difficult in a chaotic midfield battle before being substituted off in the 55th minute.
Pearce told talkSPORT: “I think bringing Hall off was the right move. He was a bit loose and got caught giving the ball away one or two too many times.”

In fairness, Hall probably needed a game like this because it’s been very smooth from him at the beginning of his senior career.
It’s a minor setback with a struggling performance, something that can happen to any player at Anfield.
With the injuries in the squad, Hall should still have a chance to bounce back in the coming weeks and continue his progression under Potter.
