Ben Foster was not impressed by Chelsea after what he saw from them last week.
The Blues went into the current international break off the back of Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest, which means they’ve got just four points from their opening four Premier League games.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have had a strong grip on most matches so far, but the similar issues at the top end of the pitch continue to punish them.

Ben Foster has taken a dig at Chelsea’s latest result by branding them ‘Spursy’.
For anyone unaware of the ‘Spursy’ reference, it’s a tag labelled at Tottenham for several years due to their own inconsistency and failure to get over the line for success when in a great position.
“Chelsea have become a little bit Spursy… I think Chelsea are that team at this moment in time. I don’t know what I’m going to get from them,” Foster said on his YouTube channel.
“Chelsea at home to Nottingham Forest; obviously, it’s got to be a home win… Guaranteed. Everybody is going to go for that. Forest are rubbish away from home. 1-0 to Forest.”

The early pattern of this new season definitely feels like a similar tale.
The bottom line is Chelsea won’t get anywhere near their ambitions this year if they don’t find players that can take chances and be more ruthless in the final third.
This is still a club used to winning silverware on a fairly regular basis in the past couple of decades, so let’s put the Spurs comparison to one side for now.
We can definitely feel the pressure on this young squad of Chelsea players already, though.
