Manchester United star Jadon Sancho has said Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic was previously a role model for him earlier in his career.
Sancho, who moved to Old Trafford in the summer for £73million, really made a name for himself in Germany with ex-club Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old’s an exciting winger that’s starting to find his feet at Man United now after a slow start in the Premier League. He’s an England international with 23 senior caps already, too.
Sancho has shared that he used to look up to Pulisic, who similarly rose to fame with Dortmund in the early stages of his career before a glamourous transfer to the Premier League.
Aged 23, Pulisic is a Chelsea attacker that’s recently just passed 100 appearances for the Blues. Some of his best football to date was played when he was in a Dortmund shirt as an emerging youngster, though.
“I saw who else was playing in Dortmund. For example Christian Pulisic, who was only 19 at the time he was almost a role model for me. I saw him and thought to myself: That could be me too,” Sancho said.

Pulisic can do more at Chelsea
For certain, Pulisic’s got the individual talent to be an even better player at Stamford Bridge.
The American speedster shows in bursts his unbelievable skill, as he’s a great dribbler that stays composed around the penalty box.
He must try find more consistency in his game to nail down a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s best XI. He needs some better luck when it comes to injuries, too.
