Adam Lallana had some extremely high compliments when discussing Chelsea and England extraordinaire Mason Mount, speaking on talkSport.
Mount is enjoying a fantastic individual campaign at club level, carrying that class onto the international stage with the Three Lions.
He started both of England’s opening two World Cup qualifying group games and is likely to feature for their final fixture against Poland on Wednesday.

Gareth Southgate is certainly a big fan of Chelsea’s 22-year-old sensation, but the national team manager isn’t alone in his admiration.
Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Lallana was in complete awe when talking about Mount’s quality.
The former Liverpool player said: “Mason Mount, what a player he is. He is probably one of my favourite players in the Premier League at the minute.
“Every time I watch him play; he is technically outstanding but also so tenacious when he loses the ball.
“He possesses every attribute that you want in the modern day ten or eight really.”

There would be justification if Lallana had some bitterness towards Mount, not only because of their Premier League rivalry.
It is this new wave of young, exciting, creative players that have kept the Brighton man out of contention with England, a list that Mount is firmly included in.
But its almost impossible to discredit the Blues academy graduate because of how well he is performing.
Thomas Tuchel didn’t take long to recognise Mount’s importance after dropping him for his maiden match in charge of Chelsea.

This view was shared by Frank Lampard and is still by Southgate.
Every manager Mount has worked under loves him, which puts him in fantastic stead for the future.
