Journalist Liam Twomey has claimed that Chelsea are now wanting to add another two players to their squad still this summer.

He took to Twitter to state that the Blues were not about to be finished with the latest piece of business they are completing.

It was reported today that Chelsea had reached an agreement with Robert Sanchez to bring him into the club this summer.

The 25-year-old is set to join to bring competition between the sticks for the Blues, who had been lacking that since Edouard Mendy left the club for Saudi Arabia.

This left Kepa Arrizabalaga as the only real option for number one, although a handful of young stars have been looking to make their case during the pre-season tour.

Chelsea want two more signings

The addition of Sanchez does not look like it was hard to come by, with him being out of Roberto de Zerbi’s plans for next season. That said, he is still a very talented goalkeeper that will be pushing for a starting spot.

It does not look like the Blues are done there either. Twomey has claimed that they are still looking at making two more additions before the summer transfer window comes to a close.

He said: “Goalkeeper was always a priority and Roberts’ belief in Sanchez always made him the likeliest choice. Chelsea targeting at least two more signings in this window.”

Many supporters will be hoping that their business with Brighton has not come to an end yet this summer, with them still hoping that a deal can be agreed between themselves for Moises Caicedo.

Negotiations have somewhat hit a wall right now, with it unclear if an agreement will be reached between the two sides.
