Timo Werner’s agent Karlheinz Forster insisted that the striker is “comfortable” at Chelsea but refused to rule out a possible move to Bayern Munich.
While the 25-year-old must have been disappointed with his goalscoring record for the Blues so far, overall, it was far from a poor season.
He still finished the season with 12 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, and only Mason Mount and Edouard Mendy played more minutes in the Premier League than him.
He has also won the Champions League in his first season at Chelsea. Not bad, huh?
Interestingly, things could have been very different if he had joined Bayern who had also been in the race prior to his transfer to Chelsea, as his agent Forster pointed out.
“Some top clubs from Europe wanted him. FC Bayern was among them,” the agent told German outlet Sport1.
“But in the end, Timo decided to join Chelsea.”

Bayern still have plenty of top attackers at his disposal, but they might reignite their interest in Werner with Julian Nagelsmann confirmed to take over as their manager next season.
Even though Werner only spent a season working under Nagelsmann at RB Leipzig, he still had his best goalscoring season under the manager.
Fortunately, Werner is likely to stay at Chelsea, at least for now, his agent confirmed.
“You can’t rule anything out, but if I had to assess it at the moment, then I would say quite clearly that Timo will stay at Chelsea,” Forster added.
“He feels comfortable there. A transfer will not be an issue in the foreseeable future.
“Julian and Timo appreciate each other.
“Of course, I don’t know yet what will happen in three or four years. Football is fast-moving.”
