Ancelotti Alert
Carlo Ancelotti has put Chelsea on red alert, after the Italian hinted that his next job would be in the Premier League. Ancelotti’s last role was at German side Bayern Munich earlier this season, and he’s been linked with a return to England since his sacking. The Blues might be on the lookout for a new manager in the summer, with Antonio Conte’s future as yet unclear. Ancelotti reportedly delayed talks with the Italian national side until the summer, to see what happens in regards to jobs in the Premier League. Chelsea are one option for the Italian, with Arsenal also reportedly keen.
Alonso Committed
Marcos Alonso says he is fully committed to Chelsea, despite recent speculation linking him with a move away from Stamford Bridge. Alonso has been rumoured with a return to Spain, with both Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly keen on the wing-back. Despite the links, it seems Alonso is happy in England.
“I have not considered that possibility, I just try to give the best of me to my team.
“I made my Real Madrid debut with Manuel Pellegrini in 2009/10, and that summer I had the opportunity to go to the Premier League.
“I don’t know what would’ve happened if I stayed, I live in the present.”
Maddison Linked
Chelsea could make a summer move for Norwich City midfielder James Maddison, according to reports. The youngster has impressed in the Championship this season, and has caught the eye of a number of Premier League sides. The Canaries are keen to keep Maddison at the club, and have reportedly slapped a £25 million price tag on the player as they bid to return to the top flight. It is understood that Chelsea aren’t the only Premier League side interested in the player, with Tottenham, Everton, and Manchester City all keen on the Englishman.
