Andoni Iraola could be set to become the next Chelsea manager following the sacking of Liam Rosenior.

The 43-year-old is leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season and is believed to be a candidate for the Chelsea job.

In fact, it has already been reported that Chelsea have started discussions with Iraola about taking over at Stamford Bridge.

Would you take any of these Premier League managers at Chelsea?

Chelsea reportedly want their new manager to have Premier League experience…

Andoni Iraola has failed to beat Chelsea in six attempts

Iraola arrived at Bournemouth in 2023 and has taken on Chelsea six times since then. If the Spaniard becomes their next boss and does not face them next term as a result, he will be delighted!

Iraola has not won any of those six games. He has drawn four of them and lost two, according to Transfermarkt.

Across those matches, Bournemouth have scored five goals but conceded seven. Even with Chelsea being far from their best in the current campaign, Iraola could still not mastermind a win against them.

Perhaps that will worry some Chelsea fans who have watched how poor their team have been for most of the season.

If you cannot beat this Chelsea team, it is a major red flag, may be the thinking of some supporters. Overall, though, Iraola has done a terrific job at the Vitality Stadium, especially considering how many key players he has lost.

Bournemouth are actually above Chelsea in the Premier League table right now and finished ninth the previous campaign.

The Blues could do a lot worse than Iraola; they could go for another head coach with zero Premier League experience like Rosenior.

With that being said, there will be fears that Iraola could turn out to be another Graham Potter. Bournemouth to Chelsea is a huge step up.

After everything that has happened, there will be supporters who would much rather have a more high-profile name who has won league titles and managed in the Champions League.

Julian Nagelsmann fits the bill and has admirers at Chelsea, but his participation at the World Cup could be a bit of an issue.
