Andriy Shevchenko really likes what he’s seen from Mykhailo Mudryk during Chelsea’s pre-season.
The Blues are now gearing up for next week’s Premier League opener against Liverpool, and they’ll go into that with the momentum of a really positive pre-season tour of the United States.
There were several players who managed to impress during the five warm-up games, including Mykhailo Mudryk.
The 22-year-old winger looked quick and fit as he prepared for his second season at Stamford Bridge.
Hopefully, Mauricio Pochettino can be the coach to unlock his full potential following his appointment in the manager’s dugout this summer.

Former Chelsea striker Shevchenko has given a positive assessment of his fellow countryman’s pre-season.
Mudryk is a key player for Ukraine on the international stage and has a lot of quality in so many areas that he’s going to be a nightmare for opponents if he pieces it together.
“I’ve been looking at a couple friendly games that Chelsea have been playing in America and I think he’s (Mudryk) getting there,” Shevchenko told talkSPORT.
“The team is starting to play very good football and it’s going to be an exciting season for Chelsea.”
“Always the expectation is very high for him.
“The club spent very important money also, they signed him for a very long term of the contract, eight years, that means the club believes in him.
“Obviously he had a very slow start but I’ve been looking at him in pre-season games and he’s looked sharp. I wish all the best for him to start the season very well and show all his quality.”

Mudryk, who earns £98,000-a-week (Salary Sport), must be desperate to make up for a really quiet first six months in Chelsea colours.
The rapid winger played well within himself as he adapted to the Premier League, but let’s hope he’s a lot more settled now in this Blues dressing room.
Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell recently claimed that Mudryk has looked “on fire” during pre-season, as quoted by CaughtOffside.
We now need to see it when the Premier League campaign kicks off, starting with a home fixture against Liverpool.
