Football agent Andrea Pellegatti says Chelsea moved quickly to sign Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal over the summer.
According to Pellegatti, AC Milan were also interested in Nicolas Jackson, but Chelsea had everything wrapped up by June.
Speaking to Sport Italia, Pellegatti, who was involved in the striker’s move to Stamford Bridge, said: “Milan were one of the many teams to have taken an interest in the player. Nothing particularly concrete: it was an intuition of the Rossoneri, it is true, but at the beginning of the market, before there was more budget related to the sale of [Sandro] Tonali.
“In the end, Chelsea was the club that moved most quickly and decisively. A situation that was unblocked as early as June.”

Jackson is yet to really take off at Chelsea following his £32m transfer from Villarreal.
In five Premier League appearances, he has scored just one goal. However, the forward is still quite young and has just arrived in England. With time, perhaps he could blossom into a really good striker.
Chelsea needed to sign a centre-forward
It is not a shock to hear that Chelsea did not want to play around when it came to the signing of Jackson.
With their Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang experiment not working out and Armando Broja injured, the squad desperately needed another No.9.
Kai Havertz has left the club as well, so Mauricio Pochettino will be pleased to have Jackson, even if the Senegal international is not firing right now.

Considering that, though, Chelsea probably need to go out and buy someone else, someone to replace Jackson in the starting XI or who can rotate with him.
What Chelsea want of him right now, a 22-year-old new to the division, is a lot to ask. Expecting him to be their main source of goals does not seem fair and it is not something he has been able to be since arriving at Stamford Bridge.
It is early days, but the Blues surely have to get him some help in January, unless he just instantly explodes before then.
