Noni Madueke reacted with great excitement after Ben Chilwell’s performance yesterday for Chelsea.
Chelsea secured their spot in this season’s Carabao Cup final by thrashing Middlesbrough 6-1 on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues overturned a one-goal deficit from the first leg to reach the EFL final, where they’ll play Fulham or Liverpool in next month’s final at Wembley Stadium.
On an evening full of positives, Ben Chilwell’s first start since September was arguably the biggest plus for the hosts.
The £50 million left-back (Sky Sports) was super impressive as he got 65 minutes into his legs and made key contributions going forward.

Noni Madueke, who came off the bench to score versus Boro, celebrated Chilwell’s performance on social media.
Madueke wrote on his Instagram story: “Da boy is back in full effect!!! @benchilwell”
Ben Chilwell starts against Middlesbrough
If Chilwell can stay fit during the second half of the season, we’re confident Chelsea will be in a much better spot moving forward.
First of all, the England star’s return at left-back gives the Bluess XI a more offensive threat with his attacking quality. This comes through set-pieces, his stamina and his intelligent movement infield to join in with the forward play.
On top of that, Chilwell’s return allowed Levi Colwill to shift across to his more natural position at centre-back. There’s such a greater balance to the line-up with him on the left flank.
Let’s remember that the club’s vice-captain, who wears the armband when Reece James is absent, is one of the leaders in a very young group as well. He comes across extremely well in any interviews as a confident individual with leadership traits.
Speaking via Sky Sports yesterday, Gary Neville described Chilwell as an injury waiting to happen. Chelsea fans need to desperately hope he’s not hit with another setback.
