Real Madrid are set to ramp up their interest in Eden Hazard, and could even offer Gareth Bale as part of the deal. Hazard is yet to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge amid the interest from the Spanish champions, and despite claiming he is happy in West London, he could move to Madrid in the summer. The Spanish side are set to test Chelsea’s resolve with a £100 million plus Bale offer. Bale has Premier League experience, having played for London rivals Tottenham for a number of seasons before making the move to La Liga.
Thibaut Courtois says he is talking to Chelsea over a new contract, but has admitted that he would listen to any potential offers from Real Madrid. The Belgian’s current deal runs out in the summer of 2019, and he is yet to pen a new deal at the club.
“I’m not clear about my future, what I said that my heart is in Madrid was misunderstood,
“I have two children in Spain, in Madrid, and that’s not easy. I have one year left and I’m happy and talking to Chelsea.
“They have bet on me from the first moment and that is not forgotten.
“I do not think Florentino Perez calls me, he will call my agent and he will listen to him.”
Antonio Conte has claimed he and the board need to settle their differences if he is to continue in their “marriage” at the club.
“The media also plays on this habit the moment there are negative results. They were already writing headlines about my dismissal after the opening game against Burnley.
“It’s no problem for me, in fact I really like pressure. I just hope it doesn’t affect the players.
“I said very clearly, I have a contract to 2019. I want to respect it but anything can happen in football. I’m happy here but to move forward with the marriage everyone needs to be in agreement. My intention is to continue.”
