Legendary centre-back Franco Baresi said he has been impressed by on-loan Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori since arriving at AC Milan.
The 23-year-old has started to establish himself as a regular starter at San Siro, having made seven starts in just over a month.
Milan’s technical director Paolo Maldini recently praised Tomori, highlighting the England international’s “pace and intensity” (Goal).
It does not stop there. This time, Maldini’s former defensive partner Baresi had his say about the Chelsea academy graduate.

“He [Tomori] is young and has played well so far when he’s had the chance,” Baresi told the Daily Mail.
“He is skilful and has great physical attributes. He is still adapting to the Italian league and I think he can only grow as a defender and help us out.
“He needs to be focused on the present and on doing well with AC Milan.
“The club will decide his future with the player and with Chelsea at the end of the season.
“There is great competition in England, but he is definitely one of the most promising prospects out there.
“His experience with AC Milan can certainly help him develop as a player.”

Even Tomori would not have dreamed of getting such positive comments from arguably the greatest centre-back duo of all time.
Most Chelsea fans are hoping that Tomori would develop at Milan before returning to Stamford Bridge and competing for his place under Thomas Tuchel.
However, the option to buy in the loan deal means Milan can sign the defender permanently at the end of the season — and Maldini already said the club is evaluating the clause.
